About the Doctor
Katie Burden-Greer, MD is double Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree at East Central University she earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. (BOOMER SOONER!) She completed residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL where she trained to care for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
In 2022 and 2023 she completed additional training in the management of the diseases of obesity and overweight. Dr. Burden-Greer understands the challenges that come with trying to obtain a healthy weight and is passionate about helping patients reach their goals.
Dr BG has extensive experience in caring for patients across many different settings. She has worked in emergency departments, clinics, and was the Chief of Inpatient Medicine at Chickasaw Nation through the COVID-19 pandemic managing patients in the acute care floor and ICU.
When not taking care of patients, Dr. Burden-Greer can be found spending time with family and friends. She enjoys being Dr Aunt KK to her MANY nieces and nephews. She and her husband also have an adventurous spirit and enjoy being outdoors, gardening, floristry, traveling, scuba diving, and taking care of their cattle and bison ranch.
About Outlaw Medical
Outlaw Medical was founded by a Weleetka Outlaw graduate, Dr. Burden-Greer. Growing up in rural Oklahoma she saw the desperate need for medical access, especially for those who may not be able to take time off from their work schedule to focus on their own health. Ordinary clinics operate under 8-5 M-F hours and cannot provide any access for their patients outside of that time. This is mainly due to the restrictions placed by insurance companies and for profit “healthcare” corporations.
Knowing the need for real medical access Dr. Burden-Greer decided to embrace her Outlaw ways by becoming an Outlaw against the medical industrial complex. Using the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model we can put medical care back between the patient and the doctor.
